Job Summary:
Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Pediatric Psychology is sought for a position in Oregon City, Oregon. The role involves providing mental health care to pediatric and adolescent patients within an inpatient acute crisis unit. Candidates must bring their license on the first day of work. This position requires a minimum of one year of related experience and candidates must have travel experience.
Job Details:
- Location: Oregon City, OR
- Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Required Qualifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; Pending license acceptable; 1 year of experience; Travel experience required; EMR experience with Epic; Must have a vehicle for this assignment.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric and adolescent psychiatric inpatient care; Familiarity with specific conditions such as anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depressive disorders, psychotic disorders, schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, substance use, suicidal behavior, trauma- and stressor-related disorders; Knowledge of physical hold protocols, medication administration, blood glucose monitoring, seclusion protocols, and psychoeducation.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with flexibility required for holiday coverage (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day).
- Additional Information: The position may require floating between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility and requires a vehicle. Candidates must commit to working at least three of the five major holidays and provide two references covering the past year. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment and forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
