Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
This is a 13-week contract position.
Day shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00). Weekend coverage required every other weekend.
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor & Delivery will work in a dynamic environment that emphasizes high-risk pregnancy monitoring and fetal heart monitoring. The RN will provide care in antepartum rooms, labor, delivery, and may float to postpartum if needed. Responsibilities include assisting with vaginal deliveries, circulating for C-sections, and providing couplet care for newborns and mothers.
Monitor high-risk pregnancies and fetal heart rates.
Assist with vaginal deliveries and C-sections.
Provide postpartum couplet care if needed.
Perform sterile vaginal exams and other necessary procedures.
Ensure privacy and sensitivity while caring for high-profile patients.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery.
Valid RN license in California.
Certifications required: AWHONN Advanced, ACLS, BLS, NRP, FHM, or NCC EFM.
Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
