Floor Technician

Arkansas Building Services is hiring a dependable Floor Care Technician to maintain floors at commercial facilities for the Russellville area. This position is responsible for performing scheduled floor-care services safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards. ABS is an equal-opportunity employer. POSITION, SCHEDULE, PAY, BENEFITS Position: Janitorial Cleaner, Russellville Area Shift & Schedule: Evenings & Overnight. Some weekend work required (~1x per month) Experience Required: Experienced a plus, but not required. Pay / Salary: Starting at $12.00 per hour - depending on experience Employment Type: Hourly, eligible for overtime Benefits Provided: Direct Deposit. Paid Holidays after 1 year of employment. Full-time positions receive PTO after 1 year of employment. We do not currently offer health insurance.

JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

Strip and refinish vinyl and other resilient flooring Scrub, wax, buff, and burnish floors Clean carpets using extraction and low-moisture methods Clean tile, grout, and other hard-surface flooring Move and replace furniture as needed Operate and maintain floor-care equipment Mix and use cleaning chemicals according to instructions Inspect completed work and correct quality issues Keep equipment, vehicles, and work areas clean and organized Communicate job progress, supply needs, and site concerns to management Follow company safety procedures and customer-site requirements POSITION REQUIREMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR EMPLOYMENT WITH ABS Floor-care or commercial cleaning experience is preferred, but not required. Experience with buffers, burnishers, extractors, and automatic scrubbers is a plus Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to work independently and follow written instructions Dependable attendance and attention to detail Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work for extended periods Ability to work evenings, nights, and occasional weekends Must be able to travel to customer locations within the assigned service area Must pass applicable pre-employment screening including background review and drug screening required.
