Activity Aide
Reports to: Activities Director
Effective Date: 2/18/2018 Review Date: NA
Position Summary: Performs duties involving the implementation of an activity program, which meets physical, mental, psychosocial needs and interests of residents.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the planning of activities to meet resident's specific needs, to include large group, small group, and individual participation as scheduled
- Maintain documentation as required by State and Federal regulations and attendance book.
- Assures personal and staff compliance to all State and Federal regulations including blood borne pathogens, infection control, use of hazardous material, and fire safety.
- Assures personal and staff compliance to Resident's Rights.
- Responsible for initial assessment, picture and front name board.
- Compose monthly contributions, including the monthly Activities calendar, pass out newsletter, daily contributions on menu board, date board and pass out nametags.
Required Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to speak and understand English
- 1 year experience in activities in a SNF or assisted living environment preferred.
- Will be expected to participate in Department in-service training.
