Material Handler / Forklift Operator – Harrison, OH

Cincinnati Incorporated is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Material Handler / Forklift Operator to transport products, parts, and materials throughout the plant and yard. In this role, you’ll operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment, stock materials in designated locations, and deliver parts and supplies where they are needed to support production.

This is a fast-paced manufacturing environment where attention to detail, organization, safety, and a willingness to learn are essential. Prior forklift experience is preferred but not required. We’re looking for individuals who are ready to learn, work as part of a team, and take pride in keeping materials organized and production moving.

Position Summary and Purpose:

Operate a lift truck to safely transport products, parts, and materials throughout the plant and yard. Stock materials in appropriate locations and deliver parts and supplies to the designated areas or individuals to support production and maintain an organized, efficient work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL:

• Receive work assignments from leads, supervisors, or other employees requesting material-handling services.
• Safely operate a forklift to lift, transport, and unload parts, products, and materials throughout the plant and yard.
• Move materials through areas with varying levels of congestion while maintaining safe operating practices.
• Locate and deliver boxes, parts, and other materials as requested.
• Stock materials in the appropriate shelf, storage area, or designated location.
• Mark material locations on production orders and ensure materials are delivered to the appropriate stock location, area, or individual.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Perform all assignments safely and in accordance with established quality procedures.
• Use two-way radios and computer systems as needed to communicate and document material movement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Less than one year of prior work experience required.
• Prior forklift experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to learn new tasks and responsibilities.
• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Basic keyboarding and PC skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and established safety and quality procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Physical Demands:

This position is active and requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders. Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and communicate effectively. Must be able to regularly lift, move, or carry up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee may occasionally be exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times.
