Veterinary Receptionist — Full Time

$26/hour | Full-Time | Benefits Included

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and personable Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. Our hospital is primarily a small-animal general practice, and our reception team plays an important role in keeping the hospital running smoothly while providing excellent service to our clients and their pets.

This is a busy position that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain professional and organized while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and assist clients with questions
• Schedule and manage appointments
• Monitor, filter, and respond to hospital emails
• Greet clients and patients and manage the check-in/check-out process
• Provide friendly, professional customer service both in person and over the phone
• Collect and process payments
• Communicate client needs and messages to veterinarians and veterinary technicians
• Maintain accurate client and patient information
• Help coordinate the flow of appointments throughout the day
• Handle sensitive or difficult client interactions with professionalism and discretion

• Friendly, professional, and comfortable working with the public
• A clear communicator with strong phone and written communication skills
• Organized and able to prioritize tasks in a busy environment
• Comfortable using computers, email, and scheduling software
• Detail-oriented and able to accurately relay information
• Able to work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and fellow reception staff
• Comfortable working around dogs and cats of different sizes and temperaments

Previous veterinary or medical reception experience is helpful, but we are also willing to consider candidates with strong customer-service and administrative experience.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $26/hour
