Together we win!THE OPPORTUNITYResponsible for developing and managing a portfolio of primarily private clients. Performs all duties in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCEDevelop and manage a portfolio of primarily privately held business clients, ranging from complex credits to deposit-only relationships, and act as lead negotiator with prospects and clients.Grow revenue by prospecting for new business and retaining and expanding existing client relationships through interest income, fee income, and cash management revenue.Provide financial advice to clients and identify and sell appropriate bank products and services to prospects and clients.Build strong relationships with referral sources and centers of influence.Structure and underwrite credits jointly with Loan Portfolio Managers.Operate a computer terminal or personal computer to process account activity, determine balances, and resolve problems within established authority.Answer in-person, telephone, or email questions from clients and staff and direct inquiries to the appropriate Company personnel when necessary.Assume responsibility for various department functions during staff absences or high-volume situations.Perform other duties and projects as assigned.WHAT YOU’LL BRINGBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.Minimum of twelve years of experience in sales or relationship management.Advanced skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation, mainframe computer systems, word processing, spreadsheets, and specialty software programs.Intermediate knowledge of applicable state and federal banking compliance regulations governing lending, including fair lending, privacy, and RESPA, as well as Company operational policies, procedures, products, and services.Intermediate math skills, including the ability to calculate interest and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; identify routine mathematical errors; compute rates, ratios, and percentages; and draft and interpret bar graphs.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and communicate clearly with clients and employees.Ability to make decisions that have a significant impact on the immediate work unit.Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology.Ability to organize and prioritize work on both a short-term and long-term basis.Ability to address difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.Ability to perform duties with little to no supervision.Experience in commercial and other related forms of lending and portfolio products preferred.High school diploma or equivalent required.HOW WE’LL SUPPORT YOUFinancial Security: You will be eligible to participate in the company’s 401k plan which includes a company match and immediate vesting.Health & Well-Being: We offer comprehensive insurance options including medical, dental, vision, AD&D, supplemental life, long-term disability, pre-tax Health Savings Account with employer contributions, and pre-tax Flexible Spending Account (FSA).Building & Supporting Your Family: Banc of California partners with providers that offer adoption, surrogacy, and fertility assistance as well as paid parental leave and family support solutions including care options for your family.Paid Time Away: Eligible team members receive paid vacation days, holidays, and volunteer time off.Career Growth Opportunities: To support career growth of our team members, we offer tuition reimbursement, an annual mentorship program, leadership development resources, access to LinkedIn Learning, and more.The base salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors.Banc of California is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a diverse workforce.
