Distribution Associate - GeneralPerson in this position will work in different areas of the distribution center as needed. He or she may be assigned to an OEM kitting work cell, the daily desk, or other general assignments. He or she will display the ability to work closely with others and as a team. Responsibilities listed below cover some of the significant duties performed, but do not exclude other occasional work assignments not mentioned.Receives pick tickets from the shipping clerk and prioritizes them based on ship date and carrierCoordinates daily shipments with customer servicePulls and assembles hardware, wireway, and wire products according to the customer's orderPackages material into boxes and onto skidsScans all material with a scan gun to verify accuracy and completenessAffixes appropriate labels and packing listsPrepares appropriate shipping documentsOperates a stretch wrap machine to secure boxes and reels to a skidOperates a forklift to load customer orders onto outgoing trucksLogs all shipped orders into computer systemAssists with cycle counts, physical inventories, and other inventory control activitiesHigh School Diploma; warehouse/distribution experienceEnglish: proficient in reading, writing, and verbal communicationGood physical condition, as you will be walking and standing the majority of the dayAbility to lift up to 75 poundsAbove average forklift driving skillsAttention to detail required in correct item and quantityMaterial identification is extremely critical to detect quality issuesBasic computer skills required to operate scan gun and shipping programs on computerBasic math skills required to count itemsInitiative needed to drive your own performance.
