Digital Machine Operator- 2ND Shift

Baird Display Division New Berlin, WI 53151, USA On-site Production Operations Full-Time Requisition #: DIGIT003040 Description Primary Responsibilities Set up and operate digital machines according to job specifications, production schedules, and quality requirements. Load materials, inks, substrates, or components as required for each job. Review job orders, specifications, and instructions to ensure accuracy before production. Monitor equipment during operation and make adjustments to maintain quality and throughput. Conduct routine inspections of finished products to ensure alignment with quality standards. Perform basic troubleshooting and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime. Complete preventive maintenance tasks and keep machinery in optimal working condition. Maintain accurate documentation, including production logs, quality checks, and inventory usage. Follow all safety procedures , including lockout/tagout, PPE requirements, and safe material handling. Collaborate with supervisors, maintenance technicians, and team members to ensure smooth workflow. Assist with training new team members on digital equipment and processes. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Prior machine operation experience in a manufacturing, print, or digital production environment. Ability to read and interpret job tickets, technical instructions, and production schedules. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving ability. Basic computer skills for equipment interfaces and production recordkeeping. Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Preferred Experience operating digital presses, or other automated digital production machinery. Knowledge of color management, digital file handling, or print workflow systems. Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles. Attention to Detail – Monitors output quality and ensures precision. Mechanical Skills – Troubleshoots and adjusts equipment effectively. Technical Aptitude – Learns digital systems, controls, and maintenance routines quickly. Time Management – Prioritizes jobs to meet production deadlines.
