Manager III - Staff Hardware Engineering Execution Lead

Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hardware Engineering Leader to focus on all aspects of Hardware Engineering program performance within the PS business area. This highly visible position is responsible for ensuring hardware engineering processes are being executed to ensure program execution success. Key aspects of this role are partnering with other PS Hardware Engineering Managers and the PS HW Engineering Director to assess overall health and performance of the Hardware Engineering discipline within PS, identifying opportunities for improvement, ensuring application of core engineering processes, assessing training and talent development, and overall program performance. You will lead a large highly skilled organization through a transformation embracing model-based engineering and digital engineering aligning with the overarching BAE Systems Engineering organization's direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Execution Oversight: Ensure program cost and schedule goals and engineering performance commitments are established, executed and continuously evaluated to meet both short and long-term program execution plans with key milestones met on time at/below baseline cost.
• Process Improvement: Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, meet cost reduction objectives, support execution, and promote agility.
• Leadership & Team Development: Assist other hardware leaders in the coordination of growing a best-in-class team of hardware engineers, fostering engineering and operational excellence through best practices, modern hardware development methodologies (e.g., DFMEA, Design for Manufacturing, test-driven development), metrics, and continuous learning.
• Technology Leadership: Understand industry trends and best practices to ensure BAE Systems develops and maintains technical differentiators. Provide technical leadership and champion the adoption of modern systems development technologies (MBSE, Cloud computing, etc.).
• Strategic Planning & Execution: Support the execution of established goals and standards of performance, budgets, and staffing plans are being executed to meet both short and long-term strategic roadmap activities/tasks.
• Project Support: Support proposal development, reviews, and project assessments. Monitor and influence product development throughout the lifecycle. Review and approve all tailoring of discipline-specific development plans to ensure they meet project scale and cost/schedule commitments.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technical field and a minimum of 12 years' professional experience
• Active Secret Security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
• Demonstrated experience leading hardware development projects from concept through production.
• Proven performance in leading and mentoring hardware engineering teams, fostering technical excellence and professional development.
• Experience managing hardware development projects and transition to production.
• Experience with a range of hardware technologies including RF design, analog/digital circuit design, power systems, and/or microelectronics packaging.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Proven ability to lead a dynamic organization across multiple sites.
• Understanding of the DoW product development lifecycle.
• Demonstrated ability to build consensus and drive technical decisions across multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven track record of increasing responsibilities in managing organizations of significant complexity.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $153377 - $260743

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
