Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be a key representative of RKS Plumbing & Mechanical Inc., responsible for maintaining the high standards of service and technical excellence our clients expect. You will work on a variety of commercial systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for our partners.

Key Responsibilities

●     Technical Diagnosis: Expertly diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair air conditioning and heating equipment to ensure peak operational efficiency.

●     System Maintenance: Perform professional replacements or upgrades of residential & commercial HVAC components as required by project needs.

●     Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all service calls, preventative maintenance activities, and completed repairs.

●     Fleet Management: Safely operate and maintain a company-provided service vehicle, ensuring it remains clean and properly stocked with necessary equipment.

●     Professional Communication: Act as a primary point of contact, communicating effectively with customers, facility managers, and internal teams regarding system status and project updates.

●     Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA standards to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your teammates.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience

Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing residential & commercial HVAC systems.

Licensing

Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (Required).

Skills

Exceptional problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitude with strong knowledge of electrical components.

Physical

Ability to lift heavy equipment and work comfortably in varied physical environments.

Professionalism

Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Availability

Willing to be on call after hours, weekends & holidays.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

●     Preferred candidates must have knowledge working with VRF equipment, boilers & chillers.
