Locum Pathologist Opportunity | Surgical Pathology | New Jersey

A well-established hospital-based pathology program in New Jersey is actively seeking a Board-Certified Pathologist for ongoing locum tenens coverage due to a departing physician and continued departmental demand.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Pathologist seeking a stable long-term assignment within a collaborative pathology team handling a diverse mix of surgical pathology and cytopathology cases.

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Surgical pathology sign-out
• Frozen section interpretation
• Rapid onsite cytology evaluation (ROSE)
• Cytopathology sign-out
• Fine needle aspiration case review

Case Volume:

• 2540 surgical pathology cases daily
• 35 cytopathology cases daily
• High-volume, hospital-based pathology practice

Requirements:

• Board Certification in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology required
• Strong surgical pathology experience required
• Cytopathology experience preferred
• Active New Jersey license preferred
