Engineering Technologist (3rd shift)

About the Role As an Engineering Technologist, you will provide engineering support to manufacturing groups to troubleshoot, improve, and maximize equipment and process performance. You will work independently or as part of a trusted team, manage medium scope projects, install and validate equipment modifications, prepare standard operating procedures, manage cost estimating, sustain a clean and safe work area, and apply rigorous quality standards. What You'll Be Doing Provides Engineering support to the Manufacturing groups to troubleshoot, improve, and maximize performance of equipment and processes. Electrical – Troubleshoots automation equipment through PLC, servo, robotics, HMI/MMI, and related process control and automation systems. Mechanical – Troubleshoots mechanical equipment associated with automation and manufacturing processes. Manages medium scope projects from inception to completion, keeping Engineering and Manufacturing Management informed of progress. Installs, validates, and puts into production equipment modifications and capital projects. Performs hardware/software modifications and documents system functional specification updates while adhering to documentation and change control requirements. Electrical – Prepares standard operating procedures for new and existing automation and process control equipment. Mechanical – Prepares standard operating procedures for new and existing mechanical equipment related to automation. Manages cost estimating of medium scoped process improvements and medium capital budget items, as well as the spending of approved project funds. Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles. Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). What You'll Bring High school diploma or equivalent, AA Degree preferred, 5+ years experience in related field. Must be at least 18 years of age. Strong Project Management Skills. Ability to read and develop mechanical blueprints. Strong computer skills with experience with MS Office, CAD software, and project management software. Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings. Must have basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members. Compensation & Benefits Estimated base salary for this position is $76,000–$104,500 annually. This range reflects an anticipated salary range based on market data and other factors; compensation may be more or less. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
