Major Duties of the Position: Provide quality endocrinology services in our progressive, innovative health care system for the veteran outpatient population. Deliver patient-centered diagnostic and therapeutic endocrine care in an outpatient setting. Develop and implement individualized care plans to address the specific endocrine needs of patients. Manage a variety of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid diseases, osteoporosis, adrenal disorders, and metabolic syndromes. Collaborate with other specialists to provide comprehensive endocrine care, including cases that may require surgical interventions or multidisciplinary management. Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows, contributing to educational development programs affiliated with the University of New Mexico, School of Medicine. Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care, teaching, and research, and be eligible for a faculty appointment in the Department of Medicine at the University of New Mexico. Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care for outpatient endocrinology patients. VA Offers a Comprehensive Total Rewards Package: VHA Physician Total Rewards.
