PROJECT DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly experienced Windows Infrastructure Engineer to support enterprise server architecture, engineering, and deployment initiatives in a hybrid enterprise environment. This role focuses heavily on Microsoft Hyper‑V, Storage Spaces Direct (S2D), SCVMM, and HPE compute infrastructure (ProLiant Rack and Blade systems). The engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, optimizing, and standardizing Windows Server‑based virtualization and compute platforms, while ensuring high availability, scalability, and operational best practices across the environment.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Architect, engineer, and implement Windows Server 2025 environments Design, deploy, and optimize Microsoft Hyper‑V virtualization platforms Implement Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) architectures for hyper‑converged infrastructure Administer and engineer Microsoft SCVMM environments Design and support Windows clustering and high availability solutions Develop server build standards aligned with application and workload requirements Deploy and manage HPE ProLiant Rack and Blade server environments Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain HPE iLO management systems Administer HPE OneView (server profiles, networking, and storage configurations) Conduct infrastructure assessments and provide documentation and knowledge transfer Establish and enforce infrastructure best practices and operational standards Provide daily status reporting including accomplishments, blockers, and next steps Gather and translate technical and business requirements from client stakeholders

REQUIRED SKILLS

7+ years enterprise server infrastructure engineering experience 5+ years Microsoft Hyper‑V engineering experience Strong expertise in Windows Server environments (Windows Server 2025 preferred) Hands‑on experience with Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) Strong SCVMM administration and engineering experience Experience with Windows Failover Clustering and HA solutions Hands‑on experience with HPE ProLiant Rack and Blade systems Proficiency with HPE OneView (server profiles, networking, storage) Strong experience with HPE iLO configuration and troubleshooting Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and stakeholder engagement) Ability to work independently and take direction from client stakeholders Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills Ability to document work, status updates, and technical deliverables clearly Averro is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at all levels of the organization.
