Job Description\n American Consultants is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Olympia, Washington.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: OR - Operating Room\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/06/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Operating Room – Olympia, WA 98506\n Start Date: October 6, 2026\n Location: Olympia, Washington\n Schedule: 3x12-hour evening shifts (09:00 - 21:30), 91-day assignment through January 5, 2027Highlights:\n \n Short-term acute care facility with 325 staffed beds utilizing EPIC charting system\n Scrub experience required across multiple surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, thoracic, ENT, urology, and trauma procedures\n Trauma Level II facility offering diverse case exposure and professional growth opportunities\n 40 hours of paid orientation to ensure successful onboarding and integration\n Opportunity to work with advanced surgical technologies including cell saver, laser, and electrosurgical units\n Competitive travel nursing assignment with comprehensive support throughout contract duration\n Requirements:\n \n Active Washington state RN license or valid Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)\n Minimum 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required\n Current ACLS and BLS certifications\n Community hospital experience required; Trauma Level II experience required\n Proficiency in scrubbing for general surgery, orthopedic, thoracic, ENT, urology, and trauma procedures\n Experience with laparoscopic and arthroscopic procedures, total joint replacements, spinal fusion, and various resection procedures\n Knowledge of fire safety, laser safety, radiation safety, infection control, and specimen handling protocols\n EPIC charting system experience preferred\n Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years\n Ability to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)\n Why Join Us?\n This travel nursing opportunity offers an excellent chance to advance your OR skills in a well-established acute care facility with diverse surgical case exposure.
