Urgent Care Physician Assistant

Overview Location: Candler, NC Candler is a charming community nestled in the scenic mountains of western North Carolina, just minutes from Asheville. The area offers natural beauty, outdoor recreational opportunities, and a thriving arts and culture scene. Opportunity Advanced Practice — Physician Assistant — Urgent Care Responsibilities Provide urgent care services as the sole provider in the center, treating both adult and pediatric patients (6 months and up). Handle high-volume patient care with an average of 45 patients per day and up to 60 patients per day depending on site volume. Perform urgent care procedures including laceration repair, ear irrigation, and other minor procedures. Weekday availability required at the Candler, NC location. Provider must successfully pass a clinical screening interview prior to onboarding. Onboarding and EMR training occur on set Wednesdays and are mandatory; providers unable to participate will not be considered. Supervising Physician will be provided offsite for locum APP providers. Qualifications Minimum of 12 months of experience (new graduates will not be considered). Active NC license and active NC DEA. Board certification required (BC/NCCPA/NP Boards) along with BLS certification. Proficiency with Epic EMR; modified EMR training will be provided prior to first solo shift. Logistics Must be local and already residing in the immediate Candler, NC area — travel and lodging reimbursement are not provided. No call requirements. Estimated credentialing timeframe is approximately 20 days. Compensation Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. #J-18808-Ljbffr
