Lead Software EngineerGenesis10 is currently seeking a Lead Software Engineer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Seattle, WA. This is a contract to hire opportunity.As a Lead Software Engineer, you will work closely with our line of business and architects to provide implementation solutions to protect various software applications. You will be involved in every release, every project, and in all the phases of the SDLC including Analysis, Technical Design, Development, Testing and Deployment. This role requires supervising initiatives in parallel from a software development standpoint to ensure applications are engaged in correct processes resulting in stable, quality deliverables. A hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite is required.Responsibilities:Develop, enhance, test, support, maintain, and debug software applications that support business units or support functionsServe as a senior member of the technical team responsible for assisting senior business leaders and managementProvide strategic technical direction and system architecture for individual initiativesUtilize in-depth knowledge of technological alternatives and business system requirements to recommend innovationsLead or have responsibility for estimation of effort for software applicationsCoordinate collaboration with external programming teams to deliver software on time and within budgetProvide feedback and technical guidance to project managers on issues of critical importance to achieving business objectivesCreate prototypes to prove the designPrepare UML diagrams to describe the current and future state of applicationsRequirements:10+ years of hands-on working experience developing mission-critical, large-scale, high-volume enterprise and distributed applications using Java/J2EEStrong understanding of OO design and strong programming skills with JavaKnowledge of using one or multiple J2EE application serversStrong experience in Java development of RESTful Services using the Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and SOAP WebservicesExperience with Apache Kafka for online data publishing and consumingExperience with JUnit test case development, Performance Testing, Optimization, and Code analysisExperience using Relational Oracle SQL/PLSQL and NoSQL distributed Cassandra DB technologiesStrong experience using development tools like Eclipse/IntelliJ IDEs, Maven, GIT, Bit Bucket, CI/CD pipelines, Splunk, and SOAP UIExperience in building high-volume, scalable, available, and distributed technologiesExperience with standard development design patterns (Creational, Behavioral, and JEE)Experience handling cross-functional issues by coordinating with distributed development teamsExperience with development models such as Agile and SDLCKnowledge of test-driven developmentMust be able to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environmentAble to work on a W2 basis without sponsorship now or in the futureDesired Skills:Experience working with AI-enabled development tools is preferred (familiarity with tools that assist with code development, analysis, productivity, and software engineering workflows)Pay range: $61.60 - $69.60 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
