RN - Med Surg

Job Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our team. This is a night shift position with a 3x12-hour schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The nurse will primarily work in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit and may be required to float between units based on staffing needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to general medical and surgical patients aged 18 and older.
• Manage patient care in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate with healthcare providers.
• Support patient needs, including post-operative care and management of chronic conditions.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required.
• Experience in charge nursing or leadership is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications are required.
• Strong clinical skills in telemetry and management of complex patient needs.
• Ability to float to other units as necessary based on skill set and staffing requirements.

Schedule and Availability

This position requires a commitment to working every other weekend. Candidates may also be required to float between facilities and units as needed. On-call availability is expected during low census periods.

Facility Information

This role is available in multiple locations including Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, and Seaside, OR.

• Orientation hours will be provided prior to the start of your assignment.
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby.
