Kitchen Associate

Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items, including beverages, following standardized recipes and production requirements to ensure quality and consistency. Stock, rotate, and sanitize nursing pantries and bulk nourishments, maintaining accurate inventory records and billing documentation. Serve meals on tray lines, record food temperatures, and deliver trays to patients using proper identification protocols and isolation procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, floors, and equipment, using cleaning chemicals safely and effectively according to required concentrations. Operate dishroom equipment and caf registers, process transactions accurately, and monitor sanitation logs and temperature records, taking corrective actions as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to communicate with others in an effective manner that facilitates problem solving, interacts in a courteous, respectful and helpful manner.
• Ability to explain nutrition related queries and have sound understanding of all the related terms.
• May coordinate with the dietician on the diet needs.
• Good listening skills and communication skills.
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English and understand food service terms.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Have the ability to utilize FIFO method and label and date food correctly.

Education:

High School Grad or Equiv [Preferred]

Work Experience: 1+ technical experience [Preferred]
