Job Opportunity

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses for the Emergency Department in Anchorage, AK. This role is for a 13-week assignment on the night shift, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Unit Information

The Emergency Department has a total of 20 headwall beds and 4 hall beds, staffed by approximately 50 team members. The unit operates with varying shifts, and each shift has a dedicated charge nurse and additional RN and tech support.

Shift Details

• Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 4 RNs, 1 ED Tech, and 1 Unit Secretary
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 (potentially 6:1 for low acuity ESI 4 & 5 patients)

Required Skills and Qualifications

Ideal candidates must possess the following experience and certifications:

• Prior Emergency Department experience
• Stroke and STEMI experience preferred
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, ENPC

Preferred Skills

While not required, the following skills would be advantageous:

• Trauma experience
• Pediatric experience

Typical Procedures Performed

In addition to standard ED nursing responsibilities, candidates will engage in:

• Splinting
• Breathing treatments
