Job Description

The Maintenance Technician performs industrial maintenance in a modern food and beverage production facility. This role focuses on troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical and mechanical issues on production equipment, as well as performing routine preventive maintenance to ensure reliable and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues on production equipment to identify root causes of malfunctions.

• Perform routine maintenance on electro-mechanical equipment used in food and beverage production, including conveyors, mixers, fillers, packaging machinery, and refrigeration systems.

• Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery and systems to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.

• Use mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge to repair and optimize equipment performance.

• Support production operations by responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and resolving issues in a timely manner.

• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used in accordance with facility standards.

• Collaborate with production and other maintenance team members to prioritize work and improve equipment reliability.

• Assist with troubleshooting and minor adjustments on PLC-controlled equipment as needed.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.

• 2-3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician.

• 2+ years of mechanical and electrical industrial experience.

• 1+ years of maintenance experience in a food production or GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) environment.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues on industrial equipment.

• Hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics in an industrial setting.

• Experience performing preventive maintenance on production equipment.

• Ability to perform basic PLC troubleshooting.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on identifying root causes of equipment malfunctions.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team in a fast-paced production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Background working with food and beverage production equipment such as conveyors, mixers, fillers, packaging machinery, and refrigeration systems.

• Familiarity with GMP standards and practices in a production environment.

• Comfort working with electro-mechanical systems and automated equipment.

• Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with production and maintenance colleagues.

• Attention to detail and commitment to equipment reliability and safety.

Work Environment

This role is based in a brand-new, clean, and climate-controlled food and beverage production facility. The position operates on 2nd shift, from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. You will work around electro-mechanical production equipment such as conveyors, mixers, fillers, packaging machinery, and refrigeration systems. The facility offers an on-site gym and a modern, well-maintained environment designed to support both productivity and comfort.

The pay range for this position is $61152.00 - $61152.00/yr.
