Class A CDL Truck Driver #37303 Location: Grand Junction, CO Company: Meadow Gold Dairy Category: Colorado Job Description Meadow Gold Dairy has immediate job openings for dependable CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to operate a tractor-trailer safely and efficiently and manually unload/deliver various Dairy products, to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Our drivers build relationships with each customer using their positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations. OUR TRUCK DRIVERS FOR THIS POSITION CAN MAKE: * $35.02 per hour to start SCHEDULE: Hours vary, typical 4 day workweek! BENEFITS: * Competitive pay * All CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers have daily routes and are home nightly * Paid vacation and holidays * Career growth opportunities - we promote from within! * Comprehensive healthcare benefits * Service recognition and employee rewards * Uniforms provided * Work for dairy farm families * More benefits, too many to name JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations and policies adhering to all safety practices * Deliver products or assets according to route schedule and customer delivery expectations (e.g., put deliveries inside coolers and walk-ins) in a safe and timely manner. Follow designated routes and schedules unless otherwise directed by supervisory personnel * Report delivery delays to management due to road conditions, accidents or breakdowns * Based on route design, load and unload product as required at designated stops (2-wheel cart and/or pallet jacket); may include stocking and ordering of product (varies from route to route) * Communicate effectively and maintain good relations with customers and report any problems to the driver supervisor or manager * Ensure and/or perform proper maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment used (tires, fuel, oil check, etc.) and maintain a clean vehicle * Complete all daily paperwork fully and correctly each day. Maintain all log and trip records according to company policy and DOT guidelines * Perform load inventory and document condition of freight before departure * Attend all driver workshops and training sessions * Use company supported applications or systems properly * Represent DFA positively and professionally at all times during interactions with customers or other individuals * The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
