The Clinical Nurse Educator - Perioperative Services will support a dynamic Perioperative Services division that includes the Operating Room, Pre-Op, PACU, Same Day Surgery, and Sterile Processing. This is a high-acuity Surgical Services environment where complex cases and advanced robotic surgery are part of the daily workflow. The educator will drive orientation, competency validation, evidence-based practice implementation, and ongoing staff development across the perioperative continuum. Close collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia, and nursing leadership is expected, with meaningful input into workflow optimization, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical standardization. Autonomy is real—this role has the latitude to assess gaps, design education strategy, and influence practice at the unit and system level.

Reporting to perioperative nursing leadership, the Operating Room Clinical Educator partners closely with OR managers, charge nurses, physician champions, and ancillary departments to align education with operational goals. Responsibilities include leading simulation experiences, supporting new technology rollouts, mentoring emerging leaders, and strengthening interdisciplinary communication. This position carries high visibility and direct impact on patient safety, staff engagement, and surgical throughput.
