Bagger Job Summary

The Bagger is responsible for producing manufactured products at the expected level of quality and rate of output by adhering to proper work standards, procedures, and policies.

Primary Areas Of Responsibility

• Adhere to all safety, quality and process control policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Report any defective materials or questionable raw materials to Production Floor Leader.
• Demonstrate willingness and availability to work any/all shifts as required.
• Demonstrate willingness and availability to work voluntary and/or mandatory overtime.
• Complete any job requested by Production Floor leader or any member of management including those not specifically contained in this description.

Specific Responsibilities Of The Job

• Remove bags from bagging conveyors and stack onto pallets using current appropriate stacking patterns.
• Ensure all required quality parameters for product are met, (i.e. bag weight, printed information on bags, seams etc.) using proper stacking pattern.
• Drive lift trucks and other powered equipment used in material handling.
• Help Maintenance Department with PM and process troubleshooting if/when required.
• Work safely and report any unsafe conditions to the Production Floor Leader, Manufacturing Supervisor, Maintenance Manager or Plant Manager when detected.
• Maintain all work areas and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
• Wear all PPE (personal protective equipment) as required.
• Perform any /all work instructions as given by the Production Floor Leader, and or Manufacturing Supervisor.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating, training and procedure manuals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and/or verbal instructions.
• Possession and use of appropriate interpersonal skills to communicate and create positive interaction among superiors, peers, departments and shifts.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 60 lbs.

Education And Experience

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or 6 months to one year related experience in a manufacturing/warehousing environment.
