Orthopedic Surgeon

Department 02408 WFBMG University Group Practice: WFBMC Main - Surgery: Orthopedics Status & Hours Full time – 40 hours per week (4 x 10 hr shifts weekly; 2 Saturdays monthly) Benefits Eligibility Yes Pay Range $54.90 - $82.35 Essential Functions Orthopedic Urgent Care – walk‑in and scheduled visits Participate in the rotating APP orthopedic practice. Flexible schedule, no call burden. Initial evaluation and treatment of ambulatory orthopedic urgent‑care consults: obtaining history, performing physical exams, ordering and reviewing diagnostic studies and imaging, and conferring with supervising orthopedic surgeon. Perform splinting, bracing, casting, orthopedic injections/aspirations in outpatient clinic settings. Education, Experience, and Certifications Must have or be eligible for a DEA license. Must be approved to practice as a Physician Assistant. Must graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program (Master’s Degree preferred). Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred. Must hold BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA with expiration >90 days from start of practice. Must demonstrate appropriate critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and ability to prioritize and make proactive decisions. Compensation Base compensation within the listed pay range based on qualifications, skills, experience, and/or training. Premium pay and incentive pay for select positions.
