Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
• Manage a caseload of approximately 50–60 patients per week, designing functional treatment programs aimed at effective return to community activities
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
• Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs as assigned, providing supervision and completing student evaluations
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Texas
• Ability to complete comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
• Proficiency in medical record documentation compliant with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
• Commitment to patient and employee safety standards, including safe patient handling and infection control protocols

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
• Experience supervising or mentoring PT students in a clinical environment
• Demonstrated involvement in continuing education and professional development activities
