Commercial Lines Insurance Account ManagerThe Account Manager will be primarily responsible for the ongoing management of commercial clients, retention of new and renewal clients, and maintaining a partnership with the producer/agent to support clients and insurance carrier relationships. Account managers are responsible for managing the relationship between insurance company and the client. They work with a variety of individuals and businesses to help clients find the right coverage for the best price.Commercial Lines Insurance Account Manager Job Duties:Advise clients on any coverage, billing, and claims questions as it pertains to their insurance programPrepare, complete, and submit applications to insurance carriers; develop proposals and provide technical support in coordination with Producer(s)/Agent(s)Responsible for follow-up with carriers and clients on various insurance program needsReview policies, endorsements and all documentation for accuracy and quality standardsAssist clients with coverage changes, certificate requests, binders, and endorsementsResponsible for existing client account review and renewal process including client contacts, remarketing, proposals, and any correspondence.Actively seek referrals from current clients and utilizes Applied Epic System to generate new business or cross sell new lines of coverage.Manage non-renewals and cancellation requests to retain business where appropriateUpdate policy changes on clients' accounts in our system and advise insurance companies of these changes.Consult with clients to help process quotes and issue renewals or any updates needed to current policiesGather all documentation needed from the client for reporting a claim to the insurance companyMeet regularly with agents and staff to keep up with industry standards, insurance products/coverages, and carrier changes.Work closely with insurance company underwriters, sales representatives, and account executives.Pre-qualify and analyzes prospective business clients according to agency standards.Negotiate with insurance carriers to obtain competitive rates for clientsCommercial Lines Insurance Account Manager Qualifications:Active Property and Casualty insurance license in Texas or willing to get licensed in 90 daysStrong customer service focus with a professional attitude and approach to businessMust have very strong follow up, written/verbal communication and problem-solving skillsStrong organizational and multitasking skillsMust have the ability to handle multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced team environmentInsurance experience as an account manager or insurance agent is preferred but will provide training as neededExperience in a sales or service organization preferred.Knowledge of Applied Epic system is recommended but will provide training as neededCandidates should have basic computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel PowerPoint, etc.)Associates or bachelor's degree recommended or insurance industry experienceHigh School diploma required.Agency Location: San Antonio, TexasFlexible work from home options available.Compensation: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
