Surgical Technician and Senior Surgical Technician Positions with Norton Healthcare

As a surgical technician or senior surgical technician at Norton Healthcare, you will provide essential support during surgical procedures and ensure a safe, aseptic operating environment. Responsibilities Prepare and handle instrumentation and surgical equipment, assisting the surgeon during procedures. Administer care and use of equipment based on patient needs, age, and condition. Apply knowledge of procedures or specialties to prioritize, plan, and problem-solve during surgeries. Recognize and respond promptly to urgent or emergency situations. Possess basic knowledge of medical terminology, the metric system, and aseptic technique, and apply this knowledge in all patient and family interactions. Qualifications Surgical Technician: Minimum 1 year surgical tech experience or completion of a surgical tech program (diploma) or successful completion of a surgical tech apprentice program. Senior Surgical Technician: Minimum 3 years surgical tech experience; diploma or successful completion of a surgical tech apprentice program; certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or other equivalent certification.
