Staffing Manager - Offsite Catering

Job Details Level: Experienced Job Location: Off Premise - Atlanta, GA 30318 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: Not Specified Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 Travel Percentage: Up to 25% Job Shift: Any Proof of the Pudding has spent the past 42 years providing innovative menus, services, design expertise and event experiences to clients throughout Atlanta and beyond. As a preferred caterer to over 50 venues in and around Atlanta, our Off-Premise team spearheads event innovations and culinary experiences to a range of events from weddings, holiday parties, corporate retreats, and social gatherings. We are seeking a Staffing Manager to lead employee scheduling and new hire recruitment processes. The ideal candidate has experience in staffing and/or catering, has strong communication skills, and is looking to grow and gain skills in the hospitality and HR industry. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee and implement staffing matrixes for Proof of the Pudding’s offsite division Coordinate all aspects of hiring within offsite’s needs, this includes but is not limited to – job fairs, job postings, upkeep of posts, scheduling interviews, conducting interviews, hiring, and scheduling. Assist in scheduling for the needs of the business several months in advance and for last minute “pop-up” events Building and maintaining relationships with staffing agencies and taking the lead on all coordination and training necessary Responsible for managing all staff including but not limited to: banquet servers, FOH servers, bartenders, stewards, captains, drivers, Event Chefs and warehouse. Being the lead and held accountable for staff’s timeliness and adherence to Proof of the Pudding’s protocol Developing and maintaining a staffing budget within guidelines and budgets. Organization of new hire paperwork and upkeep on current employees Inputting payroll, overseeing and processing payroll, the ability to uphold the code of conduct and legalities associated with Human Resources Understanding of basic HR best practices Develop strategies for better staffing efficiency and goal achievement Liaise between managers, staffing agencies, and employees Communicate honest staffing needs and updates to each venue and the GMs This position may require travel throughout the Greater Atlanta Area to events and venue Performs other related duties, as required. Qualifications Education and/or Experience Associate degree or higher in Human Resources Management, Business Management, or related field AND 3+ years of experience in Staffing, with preferred Food & Beverage/Banquets/Hospitality experience Must live near Atlanta, GA Proficiency in Microsoft Office, written and verbal communication, and teamwork. Flexibility to work weekends and evenings, as needed, to meet operations and staffing needs. Work Environment This position breakdown will consist of in-office work with opportunities to support events. Office work entails computer usage, interdepartmental meetings and communications, talking with hourly staff via email, phone, and in person, and assisting with event preparation as needed. Physical Demands Prolonged periods of standing, moving through an office, warehouse, and kitchen environment. Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items At times there will be prolonged times of sitting and computer usage. Ability to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 25 lbs. Position Salary & Benefits Salary Range of $60,000-$65,000 per year This is considered a full-time salary role.
