Respiratory Therapist - Part Time

Role Overview: This position involves assessing patients' respiratory needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing expert respiratory care in a clinical setting. Responsibilities include performing patient assessments, managing therapeutic modalities such as oxygen therapy and mechanical ventilation, and educating patients and families on disease management. The role requires collaboration with the healthcare team, assisting with procedures like bronchoscopy and invasive monitoring, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments and establish care plans. Perform and document respiratory therapies, including aerosolized medications and airway management. Manage mechanical ventilators and non-invasive monitoring devices. Assist with hospital transports and acute airway emergencies. Support intra-hospital procedures and assist with patient discharge planning. Collect and analyze arterial blood gases while maintaining patient confidentiality. Serve as a shift coordinator and preceptor for new staff or students. Qualifications & Skills An Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy is required. Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are necessary.
