About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President, Director of Tax to lead the development and implementation of tax strategies and manage the tax function across its global operating platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of global tax compliance, income tax accounting, transfer pricing, and tax risk management. This role requires a senior finance leader with a strong background in progressive tax roles within a multinational (re)insurance group, familiar with cross-border insurance transactions and related transfer pricing requirements. The SVP, Director of Tax will also serve as a strategic advisor to business partners, maintain relationships with tax authorities, external auditors, and advisors, and ensure compliance with SOX controls. Applicants for the SVP, Director of Tax position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, tax, or a related field, with a preference for a CPA, Master of Taxation, or other advanced credential. The role demands a candidate with at least 10 years of experience in a similar capacity, a strong knowledge of ASC 740, and familiarity with insurance-related tax considerations. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, the ability to stay abreast of changes in tax laws, and a commitment to acting with integrity and delivering good outcomes for the business. Responsibilities also include providing annual tax training, supporting business units on Federal Excise Tax, and handling ad-hoc requests as required.
