At Orange County's Credit Union (OCFCU), we're looking for a dependable and motivated Facilities Technician I to join our Facilities team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in supporting our 11 branches and headquarters by performing preventive maintenance (PM), responding to facility needs, and helping create an exceptional environment for our members and employees.This is an excellent opportunity for a maintenance professional, skilled tradesperson, or mechanically inclined individual who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and making a positive impact across multiple locations.What You'll DoAs a Facilities Technician I, you'll help drive our transition from reactive repairs to a proactive maintenance culture by:Performing routine preventive maintenance inspections and repairs across the branch locations and headquarters.Responding to work orders and resolving facility issues related to building systems, lighting, plumbing, furniture, and general maintenance.Conducting minor plumbing repairs, unclogging drains, replacing fixtures, and maintaining restroom and breakroom facilities.Assisting with HVAC preventive maintenance, including filter replacements, vent cleaning, and basic system upkeep.Performing painting, patching, caulking, touch-ups, and cosmetic repairs to maintain professional facility standards.Replacing lamps, ceiling tiles, floor tiles, ballasts, and other building components.Supporting office moves, furniture assembly, space reconfigurations, and equipment setup.Conducting site safety and compliance inspections, documenting findings, and helping maintain a safe workplace.Escorting vendors, monitoring service completion, and communicating findings to management.Maintaining facility supply inventory and organizing storage areas.Performing general labor tasks including lifting, carrying, cleaning, organizing, debris removal, and site cleanup.Installing signage, artwork, hardware, and other facility-related items.What Makes You a Great FitVocational training, trade school coursework, or certifications related to facilities maintenance, construction, or building operations.Three or more years of experience in facilities maintenance, janitorial services, construction, handyman work, general maintenance, or a related field.Experience working with basic plumbing, lighting, painting, HVAC maintenance, and general building repairs.Experience with work order systems and MS Office programs.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage multiple responsibilities.Ability to perform physical work including lifting, carrying, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.Skills That Will Help You SucceedStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.Positive, service-oriented attitude.Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.Sound judgment and commitment to workplace safety.Strong organization and recordkeeping skills.Ability to build positive working relationships with employees, members, vendors, and contractors.Why Join OCFCU?We believe great talent deserves fair, transparent pay—and room to grow.
