IDD Human Resource and Training Coordinator

Job Title ID H Human Resource and Training Coordinator Type Regular Overview We are looking for a positive and personable individual to perform Human Resources, training, payroll, and administrative functions for a single business location, including coordinating the hiring process, maintaining employee records, processing paperwork, reconciling payroll, conducting onboarding, and performing other administrative tasks. This individual contributor role reports to the Business Office Manager. Responsibilities Participate in orientation training, develop schedules, enter data, and perform external compliance tasks. Interview applicants for employment, process application forms, and manage employee personnel files. Provide information to applicants about the application process, employment policies, organization structure, and open positions. Instruct applicants in completing employment applications, review applications for completeness, and obtain additional information such as work experience, education, training, skills, and references. Conduct initial applicant interviews and arrange follow‑up appointments with additional interviewers as appropriate. Verify and obtain reference and work‑history information from previous employers, educational institutions, and other individuals. Ensure all background checks, registry checks, and DMV checks are completed within required timeframes and that the applicant is eligible for hire based on these checks. Keep applicants informed of application status. Enter and maintain information in a computer system. Establish and enter information in manual logs/records such as application and resume logs, benefit tracking logs, and PARs. Document employee selections in accordance with company goals, policy, and employment regulations. Place advertisements for open positions with agencies and media. Perform other responsibilities related to employment and training requirements. All other duties as assigned. Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field preferred. One year of HR, training, payroll, or related experience preferred. Valid driver’s license (personal vehicle insurance required if applicable). Maintain proficiency in company‑sponsored training and certifications, and privilege if required. Physical ability to lift 10–15 lbs, pull 10 lbs, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stand; demonstrate CPR proficiency; meet vision and hearing requirements. Pre‑Employment Screening Complete criminal background check. Check registries (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities). Drug testing. Education verification and other credentialing as required. Proof of employment history or references (if required). For driving positions: proof of driver’s license, driver’s insurance, and vehicle if necessary for transportation of individuals. Benefits Payactiv: early access to earned wages before payday.
