Custodian Position at Saint Mary HomeThis is a Per Diem (as needed) position. There is no guarantee of hours.What to expect as a Custodian at Saint Mary Home:The Custodian ensures a clean and safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff by performing a variety of housekeeping and maintenance duties. This role includes cleaning resident rooms, common areas, and facility grounds, while adhering to all safety, infection control, and operational guidelines.Required knowledge, skills & abilities:Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards.Ability to operate and maintain housekeeping equipment safely and effectively.Physical stamina to walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift (up to 60 lbs) frequently.Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.Good communication skills and ability to interact courteously with residents, staff, and visitors.Flexibility to handle multiple responsibilities and respond to changing priorities.Knowledge of safety procedures, infection control practices, and proper use of cleaning chemicals.Our CommitmentRooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
