Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments with clients to evaluate their mental health status and determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that address the specific needs and goals of each client, adapting approaches based on their individual progress.

• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices and methodologies to assist clients in overcoming challenges such as anxiety, depression, and substance abuse.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

• Provide crisis intervention as needed, supporting clients during acute emotional distress while maintaining a calm and supportive demeanor.

• Maintain impeccable documentation and case notes within the EHR system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices for mental health care.

• Engage in professional development through workshops and training opportunities, continually enhancing your skills in mental health counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus at Caring Connections is to serve a diverse population that may include individuals facing substance use disorder, mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and various eating disorders. You will work with clients from different backgrounds, addressing complex emotional and behavioral issues in a culturally competent manner. Your experience and skills will contribute to creating an atmosphere of trust and support, empowering clients to take charge of their mental health journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
\n
• Minimum of four years of direct experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating a deep understanding of mental health disorders and therapeutic approaches.

• Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities and progressive therapy techniques, with the ability to deliver effective individual and group therapy.

• Strong crisis intervention skills, enabling you to navigate challenging situations with poise.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with clients from various cultural backgrounds.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

While the minimum experience required is four years, ideal candidates will have a broader range of experiences within different therapeutic settings. Exposure to diverse client populations and specific experiences in group therapy facilitation will be advantageous. Training in trauma-informed care or cultural competency would be additional assets.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
