Individual Major Gift Officer

KidSmart is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to strategize, analyze, evaluate, direct, lead, and successfully manage overall success of the organization’s philanthropic relationships and stewardship efforts for the organization’s individual giving society. The Individual Major Gift Officer is a key member of the KidSmart organization and a key leader on the growing management team. Ideal Candidate Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 5 years of professional fundraising experience, minimum at Director level. Commitment to KidSmart’s mission; entrepreneurial spirit; self‑motivated and results‑driven. Proven track record of meeting/exceeding goals with management experience in sales and/ or development strategy, closing gifts, event planning and execution, and marketing. Experience directing fundraising plans, meeting or exceeding all annual fundraising goals, securing annual individual gifts in the range of $500–$24,999, and ability to develop and execute high‑level strategies to meet annual philanthropy goals. Demonstrated success in maintaining and building relationships through stewardship. Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, including presentations in one‑on‑one and group settings. Proficient in donor database management system (Etapestry preferred), social media & web‑based channels, Microsoft Suite. Entrepreneurial spirit, high creativity & innovation, steady leadership with bias for action and accountability.
