Job Title: Quality Systems Technician Job Description

The Quality Systems Support Technician plays a vital role in ensuring quality system compliance by reviewing standards and following up to close identified gaps. You will help prevent non-conforming products from advancing through the production process and reaching customers. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine quality inspections throughout production, utilizing precision measuring tools to ensure product specifications are met, performing equipment calibrations, and conducting workstation audits.

Responsibilities

• Support quality system compliance activities.

• Review standards and follow up to ensure closure of identified gaps.

• Prevent non-conforming products from being distributed.

• Conduct routine quality inspections throughout production.

• Utilize precision measuring tools during inspections.

• Perform equipment calibrations and workstation audits.

Essential Skills

• Experience in manufacturing or machine shop environments.

• Proficiency in quality control, quality inspection, and test equipment handling.

• Ability to troubleshoot and perform mechanical assembly.

• Strong quality assurance skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Good computer skills.

• Strong documentation skills with strict attention to detail.

• Knowledge of and adherence to quality systems is preferred.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

Work in a large plant environment that is non-temperature controlled. Expect to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs (non-repetitive), and stoop. Flexible shift options are available, including 2nd shift (3p - 11p), 3rd shift (11p - 7a), and Weekend A (6a - 6p - F,S,Su). Training will be conducted on the 1st shift (M-F).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.85 - $26.35/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
