Labor and Delivery Nurse, located in Central California, is responsible for delivering coordinated nursing care for patients in the labor and delivery department. The role involves supervising and directing nursing staff, utilizing critical thinking, professional judgment, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification required; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required
• Essential Functions: Collects relevant data pertinent to the patients health or situation; analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues; develops a care plan to promote health and safety; implements and coordinates care delivery; evaluates patient progress; collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers; provides health education and participates in discharge planning; delegates and coordinates duties of healthcare team members; performs other related duties as assigned
