Job Summary Software Engineers will perform Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities as part of an Agile development team building a large complex enterprise system. Work includes turning user stories into implementable concepts, developing, unit‑testing, integrating, testing, and deploying new capabilities. Developers also implement robust testing using DevOps automation and test‑automation commercial tools. Opportunities range from server‑side business logic to client web application and UI development using Java, Python, embedded C/C++, Java cryptographic framework, XML, Angular, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, etc. Primary Responsibilities The Software Engineer will work individually and as an Agile team member, participating in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, PI planning, and other related activities. Responsibilities include analyzing and studying complex system requirements, using design software tools and formal specifications, developing code that is modifiable, efficient, reliable, fault‑tolerant and reusable, providing software process management, promoting code reuse, engineering and deploying automation scripts, and supporting test/production environments. Basic Qualifications BS degree and 8 – 12 years of relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years; degree may be substituted with additional experience. Demonstrated experience with Java. Experience with multiple Java frameworks: Spring (Boot, Data), JEE (JPA, EJB, JTA, Servlet), Jackson, Jersey, Swing, JavaFX. Experience with JavaScript, Python, C/C++, Groovy, SQL. Experience with IDEs: Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, Rhapsody, WebStorm. Experience with databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server. Experience with web‑application UI development, Spring framework, and/or AngularJS, JSON, HTML, XML, XSLT. Experience with source‑control and configuration‑management tools. Experience developing on Windows operating systems. Documented professional experience with web services. Strong understanding of sound software‑development principles. Ability to plan, prioritize, and communicate effectively orally and in writing. Independent thinker capable of high‑quality work individually and in a fast‑moving team. Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Polygraph on Day One. Preferred Qualifications Experience with JEE (EJB, JPA, JTA, JAX‑B, JAX‑RS, JAX‑WS), SQL, application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss), Spring, scripting. Experience with XML/XSD/SOAP/WSDL/XSLT, REST, JSON, YAML, Containers (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, OpenShift). Experience with JavaScript frameworks: AngularJS, Bootstrap, jQuery. Experience with testing and mocking frameworks: JUnit, Jupiter, Mockito, Jasmine, Karma, Cucumber, UFT, Selenium, FITNesse. Experience with build tools: Maven, CMake, RPM, Jenkins, Nexus. Experience developing on Linux operating systems. Experience with cryptographic technologies (symmetric/asymmetric cryptography, ASN.1, XML canonicalization, digital signatures). Experience with high‑level requirements management, secure systems engineering, trade‑off analysis, interface control, continuous integration. Experience with Agile practices: Pair programming, TDD, refactoring, ATDD, BDD. Experience with secure software development (Layer 7 policy). Experience with Scrum/SAFe and SAFe Agile certification or prior Agile team membership. Pay Range $131,300.00 – $237,350.00 (general guideline; compensation may vary based on responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, and applicable agreements).
