Outpatient Staff Pharmacist | Jamaica, New York

Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An established healthcare system in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to fill a full-time, 6–12 month contract position within their outpatient pharmacy. This role offers the opportunity to work in a high-volume retail and specialty pharmacy environment, with a particular emphasis on 340B program management, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities include:

Managing a dynamic outpatient pharmacy that dispenses approximately 65,000 prescriptions annually
Overseeing operations where roughly 80% of business involves 340B medications
Ensuring adherence to Medicare and Medicaid guidelines
Supporting ACHC and/or URAC accreditation and compliance activities
Collaborating with pharmacy leadership, compliance, and legal teams to maintain regulatory standards
Utilizing PrimeRx pharmacy system for daily workflows

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Active New York State Pharmacist license
Proven experience in retail/outpatient and specialty pharmacy settings
Strong expertise in 340B program operations and compliance
Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid regulations
Background in working with ACHC and/or URAC accreditation processes
Demonstrated skills in regulatory and compliance oversight within pharmacy operations
Excellent organizational and communication abilities
