Summary: The Vault Cashier is responsible for verifying, balancing, and recording incoming and outgoing cash, chips, or other items of cash value. This role involves the preparation of trays for bank issue, staging currency, and loading kiosk and bill breaker machines as needed. All duties are performed within the guidelines of MNGE's policies, procedures, Internal Control Standards, and objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Cash Handling and Verification: Verify all cash, chips, or other items of monetary value at the beginning and end of shifts. Count and confirm accuracy using tally sheets, ensuring proper denominations and signatures. Record all transactions in the automated accounting system and report deviations or errors in compliance with approved regulatory guidelines.
• Preparation and Loading of Machines: Prepare bill breaker cartridges and kiosk cassettes according to denominational distribution, loading machines to approved limits. Complete or verify tally sheets when pre-loaded by another employee. Perform machine maintenance by unlocking, locking, and reinserting cash boxes as necessary.
• Vault and Cage Operations Assistance: Assist all Cashiers with transactions and facilitate a wide range of financial activities, including the distribution of cash and chips to issue banks. In the absence of a supervisor, perform counting, verifying, sealing, labeling, and completing required documentation for deposits. Assist with Kiosk balancing and maintenance as needed.
• Compliance and Reporting: Maintain and adhere to MNGE's regulatory standards, including Title 31 reporting requirements. Execute all duties according to company policies, Internal Control Standards, and operational objectives.
• Additional Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and operational needs.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, and/or ability required.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: At least six months of cash handling experience and basic math skills required. Prior administrative or clerical experience is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications: Must obtain and maintain an MCN OPG Gaming License. Must pass a comprehensive background check, drug test, and obtain gaming license as required.

Job Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry up to 70 lbs., and push/pull carts weighing up to 130 lbs. Must be able to maneuver throughout the casino, frequently ascend/descend stairs, and work in confined spaces as needed.

Mental: Must be able to concentrate, assess and analyze data, and make quick decisions. Requires social perceptiveness, critical thinking, and the ability to perform under stress and deadlines.

Work Environment: Exposure to second-hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and fluctuating temperatures in casino and external environments.
