Accounting Technician

Job Title BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Executive Director-Business Services or its designee, perform a variety of complex and technical accounting duties in support of assigned District accounts and functions; maintain, review and adjust assigned accounts; process, record and audit various transactions; prepare and maintain a variety of manual and automated financial and statistical records, reports and statements. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school supplemented by college-level course work in accounting or related field and three years general accounting experience. SELECTION & EXAMINATIONS: The selection process will consist of a competitive application packet screening for completeness, qualifications, and experience. A skills/performance exercise (weighted 20% of your score) and oral panel interview examination (weighted 80% of your score) will be conducted. A passing score must be achieved in all sections of examination. Final selection will be among those who achieve the top three ranking scores.
