Labor & Employment Associate (2-5 Yrs Exp)

Balanced Litigation and Advisory Work with Real Responsibility We are seeking an associate to join our Labor and Employment practice, representing employers in a wide range of workplace‑related matters. This role blends litigation and counseling, providing the opportunity to defend employment claims while also advising clients on day‑to‑day employment issues. Responsibilities Represent employers in employment‑related litigation and administrative proceedings Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents Conduct legal research and analyze complex employment law issues Manage discovery, including document review, written discovery, and depositions Participate in hearings, mediations, and dispute resolution processes Advise clients on employment‑related issues, including workplace policies and employee relations Assist with compliance guidance and risk assessment related to employment laws Collaborate with attorneys on litigation strategy and case development Qualifications 2 to 5 years of labor and employment or general litigation experience Experience handling employment‑related disputes or advising management on employment matters Familiarity with litigation processes, including discovery and motion practice Prior experience in a law firm environment preferred Strong academic background and demonstrated commitment to employment law Requirements Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the jurisdiction you will practice Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills Strong communication skills with the ability to interact directly with clients Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
