A problem solver and a creative thinker individuals looking to become part of our vibrant and diverse community, and unidos contribute to our growing community with a strong work ethic and commitment to social justice are invited to apply to join our team.Job Description: La Academia's custodian, you will develop and implement custodial services in order to provide a clean, comfortable, healthy, safe, and attractive facility with no disruption to educational programs.Reports To: Custodial & Nutrition ManagerDuties & Responsibilities:Performs general custodial responsibilities; (i.e. scrub, wax, buff, dust, sweep or clean floors, walls, blinds, furniture, lavatories, locker rooms, lockers, shelves, offices, fixtures and glass surfaces and take out trash) as required to preserve designated spaces.Assists in maintaining seasonal grounds work (i.e. snow removal, lawn care).Restocks disposable items and provides supervisor with inventory usage and data.Assists in the delivery of supplies and equipment.Assists outside organizations using school facilities, as assigned.Follows all school and building safety regulations.Other duties as assignedQualifications: Previous experience as a custodian or in a related field.Essential Knowledge, Skills and Behaviors:Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community.Perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Directors policies.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee will frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk more than the average person while performing the duties of this job. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; such as cleaning supplies, pails and unloading trucks.
