Medical Assistant Opportunity

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's healthcare facility in Frisco, TX. This is a 3-month contract assignment (possibility of extension or conversion) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Duration: 3+ months contract (possibilities of extension)

Payrate: $20-23/hr. On W2/Pay rate is based on experience.

Schedule: Mon to Fri (5 days/wk.) / 7 am - 4 pm or 8 am - 5 pm (depending on clinic needs)

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical duties within Medical Assistant scope of practice in accordance with policies and Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO).
• Operate diagnostic equipment and perform procedures without interpreting test results.
• Remove superficial wound staples, change dressings, obtain cultures, and administer non-intravenous medications as directed.
• Collect specimens via noninvasive methods and obtain blood samples through venipuncture or capillary puncture; perform EKGs.
• Conduct quality control checks and prepare, sterilize, and maintain instruments and equipment using an autoclave.
• Room patients per protocol, prepare them for examination, and document care accurately and promptly in the medical record.
• Coordinate patient care activities as directed by physicians and in alignment with company standards.
• Maintain exam and treatment rooms by cleaning, stocking supplies, sterilizing instruments, and following infection control precautions.
• Perform patient intake (phone and in-person) limited to information gathering, maintain confidentiality, and provide courteous patient service.

Qualifications:

• High school/GED or equivalent.
• Current, Medical Assistant Certification/ Registration or ability to obtain within 120 days.
• Current, BLS certification.
• Phlebotomy experience and bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
