Exciting Opportunity for Seasonal Travel RN - ICU (7A-7P) Job Description:
- Location: Independence, Missouri
- Unit: Progressive Care Unit
- Beds Available: 36
- Patient Ratios:
- 1:3 AM
- 1:4 AM or 1:4 PM
- 1:5 PM (with patient care techs)
- Unit Staffing:
- Total RN-based care with no techs unless stretched
- Secretaries scheduled from 7am-7pm
- Equipment:
- BiPAP
- Heated High-Flow Nasal Cannulas
- Alaris IV pumps
- Kangaroo Feeding Pumps - Documentation System: Meditech - Scheduling Requirements:
- Full-Time (36 hours/week) with every 3rd weekend rotation
- Part-Time (48 hours/week) with every 3rd weekend rotation
- PRN Staff:
- PRN 1: 3 shifts in a 4-week period with 1 weekend shift requirement
- PRN 2: 6 shifts in a 4-week period with 3 weekend shift requirements
- Rotating holiday schedule - Floating Policy:
- PRN floats once per week
- FT/PT staff float in rotation based upon dates - Patient Experience Requirements:
- Bedside shift report
- Hourly rounding
- Daily leadership rounds - Certifications Required:
- BLS
- ACLS
- Advanced assessment and critical thinking skills
- Management of vasoactive drips - Typical Procedures:
- Central Line or PICC line placement
- Chest tube placements - Ideal Candidate:
- Positive attitude
- Team player - Dress Code:
- Charcoal grey scrub tops with charcoal grey or black scrub bottoms
