Mechanical AssemblerPosition Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Assembler to build and integrate mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies for construction robots and supporting equipment. This role requires precision, mechanical aptitude, and a passion for building reliable hardware designed to perform in rugged, real-world environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies, including frames, brackets, panels, and actuators, according to technical drawings and work instructions.
• Safely use hand and power tools to fasten, align, and secure hardware.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, schematics, and related documentation.
• Fit and adjust components to meet specified tolerances and verify proper alignment.
• Route cables and hoses and support basic wire harness installation.
• Perform basic functional checks and accurately document build results.
• Safely handle large assemblies, using lifting equipment as needed.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and production-ready work area.
• Track parts usage and coordinate with inventory and parts-management teams.
• Follow all safety procedures and immediately report hazards or unsafe conditions.
• Identify and recommend process improvements that enhance build quality, efficiency, and repeatability.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and other shop personnel to resolve assembly issues.

Required Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.
• 1–3 years of mechanical assembly experience , preferably in manufacturing, heavy equipment, or electro-mechanical products.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Experience using measurement devices such as calipers and gauges.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift 25–50 pounds as required.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented shop environment.
• Commitment to safe work practices and maintaining an organized workspace.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience assembling industrial robotics or automation equipment.
• Previous experience working in prototype, low-volume, or rapidly changing manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with electro-mechanical systems, including motors, sensors, and wiring harnesses.
• Experience working with large mechanical assemblies or heavy equipment.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on shop-floor position that may involve prolonged standing, frequent bending and reaching, and safely lifting or positioning components weighing up to 50 pounds. Appropriate lifting equipment and safe material-handling practices should be used when required.
