Must have a strong understanding of systems layout. Troubleshoots, repairs, and overhauls equipment such as chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, pumps, air handlers, pneumatic valves, electric valves, heat transfer equipment, other environmental changing devices, other mechanical equipment or electrical, pneumatic and electronic components.Department team members are authorized to have limited access to secured medication rooms to perform duties and responsibilities as defined in this job description. Any staff member requiring limited access to secured medication rooms must have a fully completed and signed Medication Security Agreement for Non-Licensed Personnel form on file and available upon request.Responsibilities:Coordinates, oversees installs, and replaces control systems, industrial/residential air handlers, refrigeration equipment, and heating equipment according to prints, specifications, diagrams or other instructionsAids in the review of work orders, prioritizes and assigns work to be accomplished, updates work status and helps to maximize the performance of assigned staffTests functioning/malfunctioning systems and components using electrical, mechanical, digital and pneumatic controls for system optimizationPerforms planned maintenance and repairs to refrigeration and air handling equipment of all types, sizes and temperature ranges. Ensures critical spare parts inventories are maintainedMaintains records of repairs or equipment requiring future service. Maintain accurate records of refrigerant usage as required by local, state, and federal agenciesCoordinate projects with the use of staff or outside vendorsCoordinate and maintain PM system with staff and outside vendorsMaintain safe exterior walking surfaces by assisting with snow removalAll other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities to include snow/ice removalRequired Education, Credential(s) and Experience:Education: High School Diploma or GEDCredential(s): EPA Universal Technician, MASTER LICENSEExperience: Required: Eight years' experience in HVAC /refrigeration repair and maintenance, as well as blueprint reading, installation of HVAC system and ability to test, adjust and balance water and air moving equipment.Preferred Education, Credential(s) and Experience:Education: Associate degreeCredential(s): EPA Universal Technician, MASTER LICENSEExperience: Preferred: Ten years' experience in HVAC / refrigeration repair and maintenance with related electrical and plumbing knowledge.
