Senior Project Manager – Commercial Construction

Location: Greensboro, NC
Salary: $100,000–$125,000 annually, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Employment Type: Direct Hire

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for a well-established commercial general contractor in the Greensboro/Triad area. This position will oversee large-scale commercial and institutional construction projects valued at $10 million or more, managing projects from preconstruction through final closeout.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive commercial construction experience, strong project financial management skills, and the leadership ability to coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, architects, engineers, owners, and other project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously.

• Lead projects from preconstruction through completion, closeout, and warranty.

• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and project financials.

• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.

• Review and manage contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, permits, and project documentation.

• Negotiate subcontract agreements and oversee procurement activities.

• Monitor project costs, cash flow, schedules, and overall financial performance.

• Ensure projects comply with plans, specifications, building codes, OSHA requirements, and safety standards.

• Lead project meetings and maintain strong client relationships.

• Mentor and provide guidance to Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and field staff.

• Prepare project updates and executive-level reports.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of commercial construction project management experience.

• Demonstrated experience managing construction projects valued at $10 million or more.

• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods and project management practices.

• Experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.

• Strong budgeting, forecasting, contract administration, negotiation, and organizational skills.

• Proven leadership and client relationship management abilities.

• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, and other construction management software.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or a related field preferred.

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
